Touri Strick
Printmaker, papermaker, sculptor, and graphic designer, Touri Strick was born in Iran. She started her career as an interior designer with a degree from the Polytechnic of South Bank in London, England. Later she received her M.F.A. in Printmaking from George Washington University in Washington, DC.
At George Washington University she completed thesis work on the integration of marbling and serigraphy, winning her the University’s Kreeger award. Since then she has been the winner of a number of other art and design awards.
Continuing her studies later she obtained a post-graduate Degree in Computer Graphics from UCLA, as well as a degree in Ceramics from SFCC in New Mexico.
Touri Strick has lived most of her life in California where she worked as a Graphic Designer, Exhibition Designer and Director of Visual Merchandising for many years.
Now based in Santa Fe, New Mexico and living in the beautiful Monte Sereno, she continues to pursue work in ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, papermaking and mixed media. Her primary interest is in the cross-cultural expression of color and form on various surfaces.
Her work has been shown in group exhibitions in Washington, DC, San Francisco, Los Alamos and Santa Fe. Her work is included in private and public collections.
